What is door frame metal detector?

A Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) is a type of security metal detector specifically designed to be installed on entryways. These detectors are used to scan individuals for metallic objects such as weapons, knives, or any other metal objects that could pose a security risk.

2. Cost of door frame metal detector

On average, a basic door frame metal detector can range from $250 to $800. However, more advanced models with additional features such as facial capture, adjustable sensitivity, and networking capabilities can cost between $800 and $2000. Please contact us for quick quote now.

 3. Door frame metal detector working principle?
A door frame metal detector works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a person walks through the door frame, the metal detector emits a low-frequency electromagnetic field. When a metal object passes through this field, it disrupts the field, causing the detector to alarm.

4. Door frame metal detector manufacturer

Choosing the right door frame metal detector manufacturer involves considering factors such as specific security needs, budget, and preferences regarding technology and ease of use.
Macrosafe specialized in the R&D, manufacturing, and distribution of security screening equipment, we offers innovative solutions, including efficient door frame metal detectors. Welcome to contact Macrosafe experts for further insights into our products, technologies, and how we might fit your particular needs.

5. Portable door frame metal detector

For some events that frequently change locations, such as exhibitions, conferences, music festivals, or sports events, etc., portable door frame metal detectors are more practical than non-portable ones. These events often require security screening at multiple locations, and portable metal detectors are easier to move around and set up at different venues.
Although their prices are slightly higher than non-portable ones, considering the flexibility and ease of set-up, portable metal detectors are still a worthwhile investment for activities that frequently change locations.

**Door Frame Metal Detector Installation Guide:**
1. Open the package and inspect for any damage to the packaging.
2. Check if all the accessories are complete. (Accessories include power cord, 8 screws, left and right door panels, data cable)
3. Assemble the unit. Use the screws to assemble the left and right door panels with the control box (mainbox).
4. Connect the data cable.
5. Connect the power cord to the AC power and power on the unit.

By following these steps, you can effectively install the door frame metal detector. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!

7. How does a metal detector work on a door?

1. Principle of Operation: The metal detector on a door operates using a crystal oscillator to generate a sinusoidal oscillation in the range of 3.5-4.95 MHz. This signal is then divided by a frequency divider to produce a sinusoidal wave of around 7.6 kHz. The amplified power signal is transmitted through the large coil in the 7th zone of the door to emit electromagnetic waves. The smaller coils in zones 1-6 are responsible for receiving the transmitted signals. Upon reception, the received signal is compared with the reference signal, and any variations trigger a change in the output level of the acquisition card.

2. Structural Components:
   - **Door Panel Structure**: Consists of a large coil, six small coils, compensating coils, and graphite components.
   - **Chassis Structure**: Contains the metal detector controller unit.

3. Detection Workflow:
   - **CPU Detection**: The central processing unit (CPU) initiates the detection process.
   - **Blockage of Infrared Beams**: When a set of infrared beams is obstructed, the system checks for changes in the data from each acquisition card.
   - **Alarm Trigger**: If changes are detected, an alarm is activated.
   - **Detection of Second Set of Infrared Beams**: Subsequently, another set of infrared beams is checked for blockage to ensure the detection of any other metal objects.
   - **Reset and Redetection**: The system is reset and reinitiates the detection process.

This process allows the metal detector to effectively scan and determine the presence of metal objects in the scanned areas of the door.
